Vibing in Hyperspace – Fractal BCI Music Visualizer
A brain-computer interface music visualizer that combines live audio with signals from a Blueberry fNIRS device to modulate 3D fractals in real time. Both the music and the wearer’s brain activity shape the evolving visuals.
The system turns music into a multisensory experience, bringing the listener into the visual expression alongside the sound. Audio features such as volume and energy in different frequency bands combine with the BCI input to drive the fractals.
We shared the experience at an event with 500 people at the MIT Museum.
